Nov. 2nd, 2013 Draft Street Fantasy Basketball Picks
F, Anthony Davis, New Orleans Pelicans – $16,015: If you missed his game last night, well you missed a monster fantasy night. Davis led all players in Draft Street points with 17 boards, 26 points, three blocks and a steal. He should own the glass against the Bobcats again tonight.
F, Paul George, Indiana Pacers – $15,750: George is a star in the NBA and there is no question about it. In his two games, George has averaged 28 points, six boards and five assists. He has seven three’s in the two games as well. George does it all and he will again tonight.
F, DeJuan Blair, Dallas Mavericks – $6,225: Blair is one of my sleepers for tonight. He is getting playing time in Dallas unlike his time spent with San Antonio last year. Blair collected a double-double last night in only 18 minutes of work. He also blocked a two shots. He doesn’t have to worry about Dwight Howard tonight either… sign me up!
U, Zaza Pachulia, Milwaukee Bucks – $5,820: Zaza is the steal of the night, plus his name is wicked cool! Za hit all of his 10 free throws last night while picking up a total of 20 points with nine rebounds, four dimes, two steals and a block. He played 30 minutes and 34 in his first game of the year against the Knicks where he had a double-double.
G, James Harden, Houston Rockets – $18,055: Harden is coming off a 34 points game last night against the Mavs and there is no reason he shouldn’t be able to do the same against a much weaker opponent in Utah. Harden has five three’s in two games and is 14-15 from the free throw line.
G, Jimmy Butler, Chicago Bulls – $10,290: Butler is ranked 18th in standard Yahoo! leagues. In two games he is averaging 15.5 points, 6.5 boards, 3.5 steals, two assists and a block. He has nailed 85 percent of his free throws and has a couple three’s to start the year.
G, Lance Stephenson, Indiana Pacers – $9,345: Stephenson has been a nice surprise for the Pacers, picking up the slack for the injured Danny Granger. Stephenson played 41 minutes Wednesday against the Pelicans and made the most of his time on the floor. He cashed in with 16 points, grabbed eight boards, picked up four assists and drained a couple three-pointers. Stephenson had 19 points and seven boards in his first game of the year.
C, DeMarcus Cousins, Sacramento Kings – $17,120: Two straight games of 40 plus Draft Street points for Cousins and the trend should continue tonight. In his two games Cousins has averaged 27 points, 12 boards, 2 blocks, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals. He is shooting .489 from the field as well. The big man seems to be on a mission to start the year.
